Unfortunately the name of a British firm in this

port, Messrs. Hole, Ringer and Company, trading under the

style of Wurlu Shokwai, has been freely quoted in this

connection, and articles on the subject have appeared

in the local journals. In the course of a confidential

interview which I have had with the manager of Wuriu

Shokwal he stated that the firm have had a standing

contract with Madrigal and Company for some three years

for monthly shipments of coal. He admitted that at
